Brisbane Water, Wynnum WWTP, QLD – 2007
The nutrient removal upgrade project at Wynnum included the design, manufacturing and commissioning of duty / standby Kuhn KWP 250/600 screenings wash press systems complete with receiving stations and discharge pipes.
Key elements of the KWP wash press system include;
Extremely low wash water requirements (1.2 L/s at 300 kPa).
Up to 95% of organic removal from the screenings.
Dewatering of up to 50% solid matter.
Circular Head Council, Pelicans Point WWTP, TAS – 2007
The AQUA-TURBO AER-AS 3000-24 floating surface aerator was selected for the replacement aerator program at the Pelicans Point WWTP.
Contributing factors to the selection of the AQUA-TURBO AER-AS design include:
Extremely high wire to water efficiency (1.73kgO2/kWh).
Large zone of influence (mix diameter of up to 52m
Complete AISI 316L Stainless Steel construction.
Direct drive (no gearbox or oil replacement) incorporating sealed for life motor bearings. This unit does not require any routine or preventative maintenance.
