Screens
Mechanical and non-mechanical equipment for separating solid matter from liquid.
Centre Flow Band Screens
The Hydro-Dyne Hydro-Flo™ and Hydro-Dyne Wiese-Flo® centre flow band screens are suitable for the filtration of water and wastewater through 1-25 mm openings. Utilizing a centre entrance - side discharge design, these screens are suitable for a number of screening applications, including the protection of membranes. The very low headlosses and all stainless steel grids make these some of the most efficient mechanical screens available.
Step Screens
The Kuhn KSR-Series step or stair screen is an automatic self cleaning fine screen used in the mechanical purifying stage of municipal and industrial sewage treatment plants where solid matter>1mm has to be separated from liquids. High throughput, very good separation efficiency, trouble free operation, long service life, minor maintenance requirements and simple integration in existing plants are just some of the advantages associated with this design of this screen.
Continuous Screens
The Hydro-Dyne Triden™ continuous screen is a versatile and extremely reliable screen. All stainless steel construction and UHMWPE wear surfaces provide years of trouble free operation. Wet or dry discharge mechanisms ensure continuous cleaning of 1mm – 75mm grid openings. Thin bottom shoe and brush limit screen bypass while extremely strong stainless steel elements reduce headlosses to well below industry standards.
Spiral Screens
The Kuhn KSS-Series spiral screen is an automatic self-cleaning fine screen for primary screening in municipal and industrial sewage treatment applications. The design of the Spiral Screen allows easy installation in new or existing facilities, without channel modifications in most cases. The screen consists of a shaftless screw with cleaning brushes, semi-cylindrical screening basket, conveyance tube with internal dewatering cone, discharge chute, press water drainage pan and gear reducer with electric motor. Neoprene side seals are provided on the unit to seal between the screening basket and the channel walls.
Rotating Drum Screens
The Triobex rotating drum screen is a specially designed, self-cleaning, fine screen manufactured entirely in stainless steel. Typical applications include the removal of suspended solids from industrial and domestic wastewater. The screens are available in a number of sizes with a throughput volume from 230 – 180,000 litres per minute. Further filtration capacity is obtainable by positioning multiple screens in parallel.
Inclined Drum Screens
The Estruagua TCT-020 inclined drum screen is a reliable and well proven water inlet screen incorporating screening, washing, de-watering and compaction in a single machine. Screening of particles from 0.5 – 5 mm can be achieved at variable flow rates, and installation is simple with the option of a channel mount or receiving station.
Other styles of screens available include Escalator, Mechanically Raked, Bar and Grab. Please contact Enviroaer should you require further details.
