Wash Press
The Kuhn KWP-Series wash press is used for washing organic dissolvable material from coarse or fine screenings. Separated damp screening residual matter is removed, washed, dewatered, compressed and transported to a conveyor, container or other suitable receiving device.
The Kuhn KWP wash press has the following design features
Multi-functional; washes, dewaters, compresses and transports.
Sturdy, solid press frame.
Internal, as well as external, water injection via a hollow drive shaft. This feature ensure all screening receive a thorough wash rather than the outer layer only.
An additional thrust bearing housing independent of the axial load bearings in the gearbox.
Heavy duty wedgewire welded sieve profile screen (2mm spacing) in the dewatering section resulting in increased dewatering area.
Extremely low wash water requirements (1.2 L/s at 300 kPa)
Up to 95% of organic removal from the screenings.
Dewatering of up to 50% solid matter (dependant on the nature of the screenings).
From inlet hopper to discharge, the screenings volume is reduced by up to 85%.
Screw Press
The Kuhn KSP-Series screw press is used for dewatering, compressing and transporting coarse and fine screenings.
The Kuhn KSP screw press has the following design features
Sturdy, solid press frame.
An additional thrust bearing housing independent of the axial load bearing in the gearbox.
Heavy duty wedgewire welded sieve profile screen (2mm spacing) in the dewatering section resulting in increased dewatering area.
