Grit Separation and Processing
Equipment for removing, washing and separating heavy particles from liquid streams.
Grit Separation System
The Fluidyne Hydro-Grit™ Separation System effectively and efficiently separates, washes and removes grit and other heavy particles from liquid streams using a combination of inlet feed stream energy and auxiliary water jet energy.
The Hydro-Grit™ Separation System is all hydraulic, non-mechanical and non-clogging.
The Hydro-Grit™ advantage results in reduced abrasion of pumps and other operating machinery, improved biological treatment as a result of lower inert level in biological process, and reduced sludge yield resulting in reduced biological sludge disposal costs.
The Hydro-Grit™ Separation System has the following design features
Removal efficiency independent of influent flow rate.
Provides pre-aeration of sewage resulting in greater process efficiency.
Minimum head loss.
Low energy requirements.
No submerged moving parts.
Pre-aeration and grit washing.
Variable circulation rate control.
Removes grit particles to 0.2 mm.
95% removal of all grit 74 micron or larger.
AirCirc™ maintains vortex regardless of influent flow rate.
Grit Washer
The KSW-S-Series grit washer washes, separates and dewaters grit and other sediments into solid and liquid matter. The resultant particles are transported to a container or conveyor whilst the organic matter and wastewater is reintroduced into the flow stream.
The grit washer has the following design features
High wash and separation capacity.
High operational reliability provided by the robust solid frame.
Simple adaptation to existing plants.
Low power requirements.
Low maintenance intensity.
97% organic content removal (minimum).
95% retention of sand particles 0.2mm or larger.
Grit Classifier
The KSK-Series grit classifier separates grit and other sediments into solid and liquid matter.
The grit classifier has the following design features
High separation capacity.
High operational reliability provided by the robust, solid frame.
Low power requirements.
Low maintenance intensity.
Screwtech Conveying Equipment

The advantages of the Screwtech system include
Non-plug forming and non-arch forming.
Simple and direct transfer via side or bottom entry.
No tail or hanger bearings.
Approximately 30% increase in capacity or 30% reduction in rpm compared to shafted screws.
Long service life and low maintenance.
Low power consumption.
Space saving.
Odour control - totally enclosed design.
The Screwtech product range includes a complete line of screw conveyor associated products including
Slidegates and diverter gates.
